Echoes of the Past

Our downtown library is once again hosting an outdoor art installation, this time of larger-than-life historic local photos in honor of Santa Cruz' 150th anniversary. The images are affixed to the white brick walls with a kind of glue that I'm tempted to call library paste. The recent very hot weather, followed by heavy rain, has not been kind to the photos, but their gradual deterioration is part of the appeal. Those of you who may have been following here for awhile may recognize local musical saw icon, Tom Scribner.
