More Autumn Colour

I'm a bit late blipping this - it's 00:07. This morning we took another walk through Westonbirt Arboretum, and as ever the whole woodland has changed - some colours have faded, others have peaked, others have yet to hit their best. This set of Acers were magnificent.

This evening I was invited to a triple of 40 year awards for ex-colleagues of mine at my old employer. I have to say it was more than excellent to see everyone again, and to be welcomed back into the heart of the work family. I think workplaces where you can even envisage working for forty years in the same place are rarer than ever, and I think industry is the poorer for that.

Everyone nowadays seems forced to move from job to job with little or no connection to their transient colleagues. The folk I spent time with tonight have spent more wakeful time with each other than they have with their wives, and that means something.

Anyway, the meal etc (and lots of etc) did mean I got home too late to blip. And so to bed...
