Day 24 : Pink October

Breast Cancer Awareness Month : The Pink Ladies

Today the walking group drove up to Welshtown, high in the Dunstan Mountains.  From there we walked down to a spot by the Aurora Creek where we had our lunch.  Luckily for us the rain stayed away, so we were able to enjoy our walk around the Bendigo Goldfields.  In this photo Piano Lady and I are looking at the Aurora waterfall, which is only there when there is water in the creek, which isn't very often.  We are sitting on the stone causeway, which has been there since the 1880's.  The goldfield closed in the 1930's.  Thanks to 'The Boss' from Tussocktales for taking the photo.

We didn't manage to get a coffee after the walk, so it was Home James,
just before the rain started to fall.

I am involved with Wanaka Wearable Arts, and we have our first full dress rehersal tonight.  Let's hope it goes well.

Thank you for remembering to click here  to enable someone to receive a free mammogram.  It is very much appreciated.
