Day 25 : Pink October

Breast Cancer Awareness Month : Church Flowers

This afternoon I attended the funeral of an old Wanaka identity.  Patricia was 93. and instrumental in starting the local walking group about 1985, and also the local croquet club about 1990.  She lived a very full life, being an Ambulance driver during World War II in Darwin, Australia.  I knew her through both the walking group and the croquet club.

She was a very gifted artist, doing both wood sculpturing and working with SoapRock.  (Extra photo).  She enjoyed going out with the 4 wheel drive club, and was a member of the Forest and Bird Society.  She was also a valued member of our church community.  A life well lived.  R.I.P.
I was honoured to be one of the Pall Bearers.

Thank you to those of you who remember to click here, enabling someone to receive a free mammogram.  It is very much appreciated.
