Sunshine on Leith

Something for nothing is such an incentive to get up and go...... to go into town and have that free coffee and cake at John Lewis while His Lordship is otherwise engaged.
What I hadn't realised was that the demolition of the St James Centre is really under way now and the easy access from Princes Street is no longer viable meaning that it is a bit of a rat run from the south side past all the barricades to get in to the shop. Once in, it was rather like a mausoleum with a noticeable dearth of shoppers. I even managed to get a window seat with my coffee and lemon drizzle cake.

This was my view over to Leith and the Chancelot flour mill which I savoured along with the cake.
