It didn't exactly go to plan

JJ and I had planned.....  sorry, correction.  I had suggested that a walk in the Ashridge forest to see the autumn leaves would be good, an idea planted by Igor and Anniemay a couple of weeks ago.

I ran off the required maps, printed extra large, but still went off piste about a mile into said walk and added an extra mile we didn't need to do, but I did spot a solitary deer.  Back on track we stopped for lunch, admiring the view you can see before you, before heading up to Ivinghoe Beacon and back through the Ashridge forest.

Until you are actually in the middle of the forest you don't realise how disorientating it can be and how many bridlepath and cycle tracks there are.  I really did think we'd be pulling up bracken and making a camp for the night but thanks to JJ's knack for uploading anything and everything to his phone, we determined where we were and where we needed to go.  Sorry, correction again.  JJ sorted out where we were.
