Surfing, Westport Beach

13.0C dry and fairly dull. Low cloud. Occasional bursts of sunlight and blue sky. Light breeze.

Apothecary7's day off. There was preparation of paper for the next painting.

Late morning we went to Westport beach with Maeve the Deerhound and had a long walk towards Machrihanish. Along near Machrihanish Dunes golf course there is a seat just into the dunes so we sat there for a while and watched the waves and looked at the misty/sea spray layered view of the headland beyond Machrihanish before wandering back along the beach to the car park. On the way back we stopped to watch two surfers who were doing their best to catch a good wave and occasionally succeeding.

We drove up to Bellochantuy for local eggs for later in the week and bought some chocolate brownies instead of shortbread for our afternoon tea at home.

Later Apothecary7 was painting.

Afternoon music ... Van Morrison, Keep Me Singing. Blue Rose Code, ...And Lo! The Bird is on the Wing.
