A Day Worth Recording

Hellens

Busy day today.  The B&B consortium had been invited to a local ancient manor house - Hellens - for a look round (and to encourage us to send guests there). We'd been there before - for a very different gig as they have concerts in their large barn.

It's an extraordinarily old house, dating from the 11th century, but still a lived-in home and with the owners adding their mark to the garden - hey, even our stone circle is older than theirs.

(I guess even the cold is Grade 1 listed in the house itself).

In the evening we went with A to see the performance of Relatively Speaking at the Malvern theatres, which was excellent.

That said, one downside of having multiple theatres on the same site is when performance starting times coincide - the resulting flash-flood of traffic is not compatible with Malvern's road system or parking capacity; especially when you've a disabled passenger.
