A place to sit....

.....waiting......or to ponder......

People come and go.....old, young and in between,
Mail is delivered.....parcels go inside,
All kinds of weather.....wind, rain, hail or shine,
Cars, taxi's, mini buses.....wheelchairs, walking frames or sticks,
Some looking stern......while others are more cheerful,
Slow and steady is best for all,
Pansies always makes one smile.

The entrance to the home R is in, the garden always bright and welcoming, some lounges look out upon this area giving residents something to look at, I admired the pansies and their delightful faces.

R was in good spirits today, cheerful with plenty to talk about even though he was a little muddled at times. He asked how his mother was, she's been gone for many years, asked my mum if she was working, her reply only in the house and garden. We were told the bun's were really good, tasty, but sleep during the night was only ok. The best place to live started with 'L' but he couldn't remember and gave us no clues so prompting was difficult. He thought we lived in Levin, which is in the North Island, no we live much closer we replied which brought a smile and a quiet nod. And then we started again with the same questions plus a few new ones being added to the mix, nice to see him in a more cheerful mood, sparkly eyes and with a sense of humour.

Lunch at the mall followed with our usual grocery shop, the weather cold, almost wintry with a heavy sky, certainly didn't feel like spring today, nice to see blossom drifting in the breeze.

Wednesday rambles :)
