A frosty start

A sunny, but rather chilly, early morning at Wetheral Station. This is the rather fine 19th Century bridge, but the steps were a bit slippy with frost this morning.

We travelled to Newcastle by train today – two very pleasant journeys.

Why, having walked past it hundreds of times, have we only just discovered the astonishing Food Hall in Fenwicks? Unfortunately Fortunately, because we were travelling by train, we couldn’t buy very much. But there’s always next week!
