Sgwarnog: In the Field

The Raven and the Tower

We took the train into London for a visit to the Tower. Not only was it 4 and 7 yo's first visit, it was mine too. It was a long day of walking up and down spiral staircases, but a good experience, and there's no denying the place drips history.

The tower ravens are part of British lore. I'd rather they were in the wild, rather than in their wing clipped state here, but it's difficult to resist such an emblamatic image.

We also had some great views of the Olympic rings on Tower Bridge, which up until today I'd always assumed was called that because it was a bridge with towers, and of the Shard, but the Raven and the Tower win out.

A better shot of the Raven.
