Results Day

Today is the day students look forward to with trepidation; it is the day 'A' Level results are announced.

The results they receive have a direct impact for those waiting to see if their first choice university has accepted them. Below target results can result in desperate phone calls and/or a procedure known as 'clearing'.

Considering most students (and their parents/guardians) embarked on the road to university about a year ago, this day has been long awaited.

Tom, having taken a BTEC rather than A Levels, already knew his results from Stratford College although confusion in their admin had left doubt on the actual results, either good enough to get onto his course or not, forcing him into clearing; he would not know until today.

This morning Wolverhampton University texted Tom to let him know the higher grades stood, and he was unconditionally accepted onto the degree course he had applied for starting in September :-)

Tom will join the many young people celebrating today as they prepare to leave home and embark on a great educational adventure!

Today's photo collage was taken in the inner sanctum of Tom's bedroom (luckily he was out or he may not have allowed it). It shows his work/entertainment area and his BTEC award certificate.

Well done Tom!
