An ordinary life....

Autumn Collection...

Today has been hilarious.

In addition to the six builders vans that are the norm here these days, we also had two plumbers vans (fitting the new central heating) electrician's van, van belonging to the man fitting the ceiling hoist in Alan's changing room, and a van belonging to the damp specialists who were treating a damp patch in the utility room.

Not fancying asking them to move all these vans so we could get the car out, we've had a day at home.  Most of it spent sitting in the living room, drinking coffee and letting it all happen round about us.  The last of the decisions that had to be made have been made (the tiles for Alan's changing room and the door finishes for the cupboards in the pool room) so we can relax a bit now.

Alan wanted to sit in the hall and watch all the comings and goings and got quite annoyed with me when I said he couldn't because it was too cold.  Kirsten saved the day by suggesting the pair of them go down to Chocolate Galley on the High Street so they went off and spent a couple of happy hours there.

I was really stumped for a blip today until I remembered about the pile of leaves gathered at the corner of the front door.  Very handy.  A few seconds blast of cold air and blip done.

Snow is falling in some Scottish parts but we've avoided it so far.  Heading to Glasgow tomorrow so I expect we'll encounter it at some point.

In other news...we've had our eye on a new dining table for the garden room for a while now and when I had a quick look at the supplier's website last night, it was in their sale.  I've been checking out this site for months and that is the first sale they've had.  There was a great saving to be made but the sale ends on Sunday so what to do????  Order it of course!  So I did.  Then I realised delivery takes two weeks, not the 6-8 I was expecting.

So, new dining table arrives shortly.  I wonder where it's going to go?!!!!!
