Pre Raphaelite Shoot

I had a wonderful day out at Newstead Abbey on a photoshoot organised by Michael Lau Photography of Nottingham with model Grace Eden.

I'd gone on the first of these photoshoots last year. This is the third time that Michael has taken a party with Grace to Newstead. Last year, she got in the lake to give us Ophelia, but Spencer wasn't with us today for health and safety purposes, so we did other things.

The Autumn colours are particularly lovely in the Japanese Gardens, which didn't disappoint.

This shot was taken overlooking a pool which feeds into the lake. We really liked the way Grace stands out from the dark background, giving the image a moody feel.

Basil wasn't with us today, but a super tom cat called Freddie came along and posed beautifully with Grace. Trevor was very taken with him.

Just three of us photographers with Michael today. Two others had cancelled at the last minute. A shame for Michael, great for us, as we got more opportunities to experiment.

Home, where Len had cooked a superb dinner. George and Kat brought cats Ben and Jerry for a long weekend with us, and stayed to dinner.
