Birthday boy's band

This evening I went to a friend's 60th birthday party. He plays in a ceilidh band (that's him standing and playing guitar) and they played for the first half of the evening. It was great to have a dance. Moving was necessary in order to keep warm as it was in a freezing barn. Someone commented that she'd never seen so many woolly hats worn at a party!

The food was excellent, everyone took a plate of food to share which always turns out well .. Someone had brought home made pork pie which was delicious.

After the break was a disco. The music was so loud that it was impossible to hold a conversation which was rather a shame. Good to catch up with old friends though.
