Pig Pickin'

We left immediately after sacrament meeting at church today and headed to Deep Run and Kent's sister's place.

Ever since we got married, at the end of October, Kent would pay for a pig and PeeWee would cook it. All the family was invited and asked to bring a dish and we all ate until we burst!

This year, because of all the flooding the Kinston area after Hurricane Matthew we postponed the pig pickin' for 2 weeks to allow things to dry out and things to get closer to being back to normal.

It was about 60°F/16°C and the rain held off until evening and so it was great weather for the pig pickin'. There was a bunch of the family that wasn't there for one reason or another but with a family the size of ours that's the way it always is. We still had about 60 head there enjoying the food and one another's company.
