The Tides Out

I have never see the tide out like this before the river was almost dry.

I met a guy looking for yabbies...he reckoned they were great bait...he was going to do some night time fishing.

There were families and lots of children playing on the river bed with the Pelicans looking on...they seem to be very tame around here...the pelicans not the kids.

There was lots of little black cormorants fishing all together for a while then came out of the water and opened their wings to dry them off.

The corellas were having a great time spinning around in the trees and making a racket.....what is the queue that makes them all fly off together to another spot or the cormorants to get out of the water at the same time?????? the group consciousness is a fascinating thing.

It was the first time I could walk down the bank to get under the bridge to take some photos.....It was pretty hairy with all the sharp shells but it was worth it.

A pretty lovely afternoon down by the river.
