It was - 6.9° when I got up this morning but I didn't go for a walk through the forest until late morning when it was a bit warmer, well a bit less cold I should say. Even though it was cold the air was really dry so there was no more frost than yesterday. I am amazed at how some things are so resilient in the cold.
This is a tiny moss garden in the frost growing on some upright logs outside a neighbour's house. They were also growing 3 different types of tree fungus - I didn't realise winter is the time for many varied and colourful fungi.
Snow was forecast for tomorrow but it is actually dumping down at the moment. Hopefully some nice snowy shots tomorrow.
