Synchronised Chamois Jumping

Climbing up towards a ridge where there are often chamois in the summer, these two sprang out from behind a rock! What a shock we all got! I felt really bad having disturbed them as they can lose a lot of energy if they have to run, in the winter. Fortunately with so little snow around, there is still plenty grass to eat. The chamois on the ridge did not see me and created some lovely silhouettes, see extra and in https://www.flickr.com/photos/hilarysview/. The photos were all taken above yesterday's frozen "jellyfish" valley, above a high alpine pasture called Anzeindaz. Thanks for all the gifts for yesterday's photo, by the way.
