Edinburgh on Ice

With another token for a free coffee and cake at John Lewis burning a hole in my wallet, His Lordship and I made the tortuous path past the demolition of the St James Centre to take advantage of it. The slice of carrot cake minus a small forkful was willingly donated to HL, saving me a conscience stricken afternoon.

Then there was a walk through StAndrew Square where we were disappointed in this year's seeming lack of market. All we saw was the skating rink with a horde of school children teetering around with much hanging on to the sides and not much skating. Not that I can talk as I would fare no better. I never got the hang of balancing knife edges on ice.
