Abstract Thursday - Geometric

In the land of the midnight Sun, we simply can't decide whether we're a Polar Bear or a Black Bear. But that's fine, because this is Bristol. AT76 is hosted by Ingeborg.

Janet took me out to Bristol University for a lecture on Gorilla-Human Habituation (hey, life don't get much better!) but I couldn't find a geometric gorilla. The Bristol Bear stands atop the old St James Barton roundabout, now renamed the Bear Pit for patently obvious reasons.

"Ursa" is a 12' tall sculpture by Jamie Gillman, and was erected in 2013. Built using sections of recycled geometric tile he makes use of the dazzle effect often used on warships. To make him fit a more Abstract theme I've stacked some long exposures and thrown a midnight Sun into the mix.
