On the prowl

Four weeks with a fully bandaged unusable front leg for a kitten just a few months old quite a handicap but Eddie has been extremely good particularly as he has had to spend most of the time in a cage. Today will hopefully be the the last day. It is difficult to believe he will ever be able to use the leg as it simply seems to hang on his shoulder and he drags it around. Have to wait and see.

Remembered this morning that I had forgotten to collect my "rubbish" from the sawmill yesterday so set off in the morning with the car trailer and shovel. Once loaded had a chat with the owner Max and watched him start up the motor for the days work. On the spur ´filmed it as it's quite something to see a flywheel weighing over one ton being turned over by compressed air and thus getting the diesel motor to start. The film is on YouTube.

While Angie rode out, I spent most of the day cleaning up old empty bee frames which I don't want to use again for honey but will melt down the wax, disinfect (boiling water) the wood frames and then reuse them.

After such a busy day, Eddie spent the evening with his leg up watching TV. - Extra Photo
