Winter Treescape

I am endlessly fascinated by the shapes of trees in winter and as drive along the dual carriageway of the A1 into Edinburgh I am always seeing odd clumps of trees which would be nice to photograph. However, as the road is a clearway there are no easy stopping places. Returning from the Fort Kinnaird shopping centre this morning I forced myself to stop in one of the emergency lay-bys (no doubt breaking the law !) in order to get a grab shot of this row of trees across the carriageway.
