Preparations

Tomorrow we have our annual Caña Club Christmas Feast! This means lots of shopping, working out oven timings, driving round the island buying bits from different places etc etc... We had a super productive morning, including being at the Post Office by 9am (already 15 people in front of us!!), and getting to the UK supermarket before it even opened (giving us time to have a quick coffee looking at the sea...).
Started roasting chestnuts this afternoon - I LOVE the smell that fills the flat! It's worth roasting them for that alone! We're making sprouts with bacon & chestnuts, and also red cabbage, apple, onion & chestnuts...so there were a fair few to peel! I've got sore fingers now!
Then a couple of hours with S&J talking charity stuff & praying...then straight on to Asha's reading class! Phew!
We now have Asha's friend sleeping over as her Mom's working in Mallorca & her Dad's DJing tonight...but the kind man is bringing tea round for us all...

Today I'm grateful for;
1) The smell of chestnuts roasting.
2) An unexpected moment of peace in a hectic day - coffee on the seafront with Danny.
3) Unexpected generosity from a friend.
