The dry dock being used at Gloucester docks

I managed to find a car parking space on the street behind the dockland area in Gloucester. Like everyone else I was running around the shops and wanted a break. I did a circular walk and found this unusual barge in the  dry dock. Usually I see wooden hulled sailing ships often with multiple wooden masts being carefully attended to. Nielsens, the traditional boat repair specialists are world renowned so I always like to visit on the off chance of seeing something new.

The weather was overcast and as I walked the rain began to fall, lightly at first, then in torrents. Luckily I made it back to the car before then for the next bout of shopping.
