Christmas Cookies!!

Hello Blipfriends!
Dolly reporting today!

Yes, yes, we know!! We are behind on our blips again! I better step in and help Mum out!

Christmas is ALMOST here! Tomorrow we leave for Mum's sister's house for a few days! But first - last minute things! One of those things was to drop off a present with a friend in a nearby village. We decided to go walkies there first. These pretty cottages are called 'Paradise Cottages' and Mum always drools over them, as well as a few others - the village is like a quintessential chocolate box village!

While we were walking through the little forest we met a few other dogs including this one. His name is Buster, and guess what? He's 13 years old and he ALSO just had an operation and had 4 teeth removed! Snap! We compared a few dental stories and are both very happy that's over and we survived and can enjoy Christmas goodies!!

After our walkie, we stopped to see our friend. Mum had tea and a mince pie (I got NONE!) and I snoozed in front of the fire while the humans yacked and yacked and yacked! They had a gorgeous tree in their very beautiful home and Mum was a bit tempted to move in for Christmas!

But back home we went! Because - Mum had to get busy with the Christmas cookies that she had mixed up earlier. Mum comes from a family who baked several different specific kinds of cookies every Christmas. She kept up this tradition for a few years into her adult years but then life got busy and it never seemed to happen. In fact - I don't remember her EVER doing this, in all our years together! So this was a NEW tradition for me! The white ones are called Russian Teacakes (also called Mexican Wedding Cakes or Swedish Teacakes). The ginger ones are actually Swedish pepparkaka and Mum says we really need to be honest - she made those out of ready made chilled dough from IKEA! Good ole IKEA!!

I am very happy with both of these! No chocolate and no raisins - Dog Friendly!! (And see the dog-shaped ones!)
