A Posh Canal Bridge

This is Chillington Bridge (No 10) on the Shropshire Union Canal. It carries the Avenue which runs from Coven to Chillington Hall about 2 miles away.

It must have looked very grand in its day, with horse drawn carriages crossing the bridge on the way to the hall. Funnily enough the couple in the boat asked if they were going to be famous as I took some shots. Well, I suppose in a way they will! When we publish a shot to Blipfoto more people probably see the image than would normally be the case.
