Willow Weaving

Tony is over at Jen and Pete's today, helping Jen to plant her willow hedge.  It replaces a horrible leylandii hedge which took some serious removal earlier in the year.  Tony is busy positioning the willow stems whilst Jen is creating the woven pattern.  I took advantage of another lovely day to cycle around the circuit and call in on them, sorting lunch, before they continued their work.  It will look smashing once it takes hold and starts to grow.

Meanwhile Pete is driving back from London where he has been volunteering at Crisis Christmas.  With all this fog in the south east, I'll be glad when he's back in Yorkshire.
