Vacuum

An old friend died today.  The best of our fleet of hoovers, a Miele that's been with us for probably 20 years, lovingly adored with strategic gaffer tape and missing a few tools, decided to stop unexpectedly (and take out the power from the ground floor).

Despite close inspection on the operating table I'm not wholly sure what's gone - there's no telltale burnt bit as there tends to be in these cases.  My strongest suspicion is the power controller PCB but as a replacement part costs half the price of a brand new machine...

...until I find a way to hack it.
