Cold and frosty ...

Post-Xmas backblip 3

...when we walked by the River Witham with Louie. Mist starting to rise from the water.

Backache and rather stiff this morning - maybe not surprising after sleeping, not very well, on the spare bed from hell in a very cold, very damp room for a couple of nights. Back home today, though, so we packed our stuff and said goodbye to MrM's dad.

After a late breakfast courtesy a Little Chef, MrM drove us to Leeds where we picked up Lucy and Jake. Then home via Masham in North Yorkshire (Extras) for old-times sake - MrM and I used to go there on a regular basis.

I had hoped to have some time after Christmas to prepare and cook ready for Lucy and Jake's visit, but 'twas not to be. Never mind, we had a splendid meal of local cheeses (from Doddington, just down the road), salad, and good fresh bread. After which MrM was re-introduced to the TV series 'Detectorists' - he's hooked!
