Hareshaw Linn

Christmas backblip 5

MrM and I were up earlier than the crack of dawn to take Tom to the station in Berwick for his train home - he needed to be at work by lunchtime. As we stopped on the way home to allow Louie to have a short walk, we were treated to a splendid sunrise (extra).

We have been meaning to go to Hareshaw Linn for a while, and today was the day, so MrM drove us down to Bellingham. It's a nice, easy walk up to the falls through a beautiful wooded valley, though the path was very icy in parts. Some amazing icicles in the trees! The falls were worth the walk and, as we stood looking up at them, MrM spotted a red squirrel in a tree above. Another great day out!
