Snow on Humbleton

Christmas backblip 6

It was a grey day - so grey that, apart from the bracken near the bottom, the blip looks like a monochrome photo! After a late start to the day and a leisurely breakfast (when Jake was introduced to our 'Christmas porridge'), Lucy and Jake walked up Humbleton Hill while MrM and I walked the low-level Humbleton circuit. (I'm rather wary of slipping on the  ice/snow and jarring my back, which still isn't 100%.) On our way back through Wooler Common, we stood for a while and watched a little red squirrel enjoying the nuts in the feeder. S/he (extra) was quite a poser!

In the evening we all went to the music session in Longframlington with MrM - another first for Jake! I think he enjoyed it...
