The path from St Abbs

Post-Xmas backblip 4

A lovely day and not too windy. So, after a late start and a repeat of the traditional 'Christmas morning breakfast', we set off for St Abbs. Parked at the National Trust car park and walked along the high path to the lighthouse at St Abb Head. Just down from the lighthouse we found a sheltered spot for our picnic lunch, then walked back along the low path. (Extras show view of St Abbs and a view of the lighthouse and cottages at St Abbs Head.)

Not a long walk but it took a while - there were numerous stops to admire the views and, of course, take photos! Then home via Coldingham Bay.

A belated Christmas meal with Lucy and Jake this evening - honey-glazed gammon with veg followed by Christmas pudding. Then a couple of hours relaxing and watching more 'Detectorist'...
