Heritage Loch

We got up late today...... we had rather a late night.......and it took us a wee while to get sorted.

We had a wee walk around the loch in the afternoon, the sun was going down and there was a nice glow about the island.

New Year is always a time for reflection and contemplation...... we were talking about how fortunate we have been in the last year, we have our health and our family.  Losing Lindsay has always been a great sadness in our lives, but we are thankful that we had her for 37 years; and we have been very fortunate in our family, in Carolyn, and in our grandchildren Andrew and Emma who are a great credit to Lindsay and Gary.  We have been fortunate in our son-in-law, who has treated us with great kindness over the years without Lindsay, and we wish him the very best in life.

We are looking forward today to a nice meal at Carolyn's, with Gary and Emma too.  Andrew is away up at Fort William with his girlfriend's family; it is rather strange not to see him at this time of year, but we hope he is  having a good time, and will see him soon.

We are so fortunate in having such a fine daughter as Carolyn, she is very loving and giving, and I am thankful for her every day.

Getting a bit sentimental I guess, but New Year does that to you, doesn't it.

I wish health and happiness to everyone this year, and thank all the blippers who are kind enough to follow my ramblings.
