An Everyday Adventure

The sun was shining and the ground just frozen, making today a perfect day for walkies. Mum said Let's go through the first sheep meadows, and I said OK! We set out, but not even halfway, someone else, mum and dog, came walking on the parallel path and guess what? We knew them!

It was my friend Noa the Sheltie and what was special is that they don't even live in the city, they had come here by car just for walkies in the nature reserve! Me and Noa have been to obedience classes and Alice class together and haven't seen each other since. He is sweet tempered and a good walking buddy.

So mum asked if we could join them, and we could! They were planning a much longer walk than mum had originally intended. Yay! Anyway. When we were halfway through the second sheep meadow, suddenly something big, bouncy and very fast came running right at us over a hilltop and along the path, aiming for me! Aargh!

It was Pärson, the ten month old whippet puppy, with no human in sight. Mum says it's very lucky we had already met him once so she knew he was a puppy. She threw herself between him and us and told him off very angrily. Pärson didn't pay much attention to this as he really only wanted to play. When his dad finally arrived, panting, he refused to be put back on his lead, but was in the end, looking rather miserable.

In the next forest, a small and a big black dog with two humans in tow met us on the path. And guess what? It was my agility friend Tova and her half-sister Selma the hunting Lab. It's small world! Then we went on over two fields to the Old oak before we turned back. Mum managed to lose her phone :-0 and we had to go back over two hills where a young girl had thankfully found it. Phew!

For a morning walk, that's rather eventful...
