A "before" shot

This is the site where Susan's studio will be going. Our neighbour has made a good start in removing the delapidated fence behind the greenhouse and severely cutting back the forsythia which was growing vigorously behind the fence, pushing through it and muscling the fence out of the way.

We've taken all the glass out of the greenhouse, moved it and tried it in a the new position further down the garden, nearer the house but this will mean removing a large Red Robin tree first. We've designed the studio and put a deposit on the building which will take 6 weeks to construct so it'll be a while until I post the "after" photograph.

This afternoon we opened all the Christmas presents that had been left down here when we went to Edinburgh owing to there being no space in the boot which was full of presents for the Edinburgh folk. I had a new ukulele, which I knew about and a lovely calendar from Marion, our Canadian friend. So that extended Christmas and made for very pleasant afternoon, topped off by a run in the gathering gloom around Mote Park.
