Ski Day 2!

Hello Blipfriends!
Dolly Reporting!

Today we watched more of the Tour de Ski from Germany. We never knew that Cross-Country skiing could be so exciting!

Today was the 'Distance Free Technique' race which was quite different than yesterday's race that was both Classic and Freestyle. Instead of a mass start (yesterday), they started at different times based on 'Bonus time'. We're not sure we really understand that, but the commentators had a big discussion on whether that system would be nixed.

The men's race was 15km and the women's was 10km. We were particularly excited about the women's race because the winner of THIS race ended up being Stina Nilsson from Sweden! Yay! We are cheering for Sweden! The winner of the men's race was Russian (Sergey Ustiugov) but we were very excited to watch the British contestant, Andrew Musgrave, who is doing quite well.

Anyway - we are enjoying skiing! It's a cosy time for me and Mum, enjoying a post-Christmas winter sport. Tomorrow is a rest day for the competition but we look forward to more skiing on Friday!
