"Animal Inside Out" (Not for the faint-hearted!)

We went with my brothers & their wives, and my Dad, to see the "Animal Inside Out" exhibition which is just coming to the end of its run at the Centre for Life here in Newcastle. In case you don't know, this travelling exhibition shows the work of Dr Gunther von Hagens and his team, who laboriously plasticise and dissect the bodies of all sorts of animals and then display them in different ways. (They assure us that no animals were harmed or killed for the purposes of the exhibition.)

Non-commercial photography without flash or tripod was allowed (except for the human specimen). The conditions were not exactly ideal for photos so it was a good chance to test out my new camera - I was rather pleased with how it performed.

There's some more photos on flickr here if you're interested in seeing them.
