Last Day in Berlin

This was our last day in Berlin.
Tomorrow we are flying back to Glasgow.
Despite the public holiday work was relentless. Some critical issues came up and I had to work in the morning. I was not happy! It required more time and effort I was ready to put in.
However, we started packing and went to walk the Kiez to see if there was anything we wanted to take home. I also needed some fresh air to steam off.
In Germany the holidays are over and the streets were in the process to get cleaned up from the fireworks mess.
At 6 pm we were meeting Caroline, the daughter of a former colleague who is living actually in the same street as us.
We met at Barcomi's and chatted away for 3 hours. She is a lovely and smart girl and it was fun to hear about her father from her view point.
He - for example thought she had to learn English and flew with her to London. There they met a friend of his - a catholic priest - and he told her that he is now flying home and she will stay 14 days. She was devastated and the priest was also not sure what to do. So he said, let sit down and have a drink. It ended up being fantastic two weeks, they became good friends and years later she is still visiting him :).
There was many more stories and we had a great evening. At home we started packing and cleaning up the flat.

The blip is not great. It was a grey day and I liked the view of this back yard.
