Yorkshire/Romanian 'Carbonara'

Irritated by a persistent cough for a while it finally came out as a full blown cold (very rare for me) over the past three days, fortunately missing Christmas and New Year. Many powders later seems to be clearing up but having done no shopping since before New Year the evening meal was about what I could cobble together with what's in the fridge and cupboards.

Kaiser (a kind of Romanian bacon); un cârnat (one cooked homemade Romanian sausage as blipped, uncooked, a few days ago); slănină afumată (smoked pork back fat); three eggs; cheddar cheese; quarter of a small pot of soured cream. With dried pasta and garlic (from Romania) in the cupboard a 'carbonara', sort of, seemed called for, my kind of 'healthy food', accompanied by salad dressed with a mixture of pumpkin and olive oils and washed down with a glass of red.

Pub lunch Sunday I think.
