Whale watching

Another beautiful day. I had heard that some Humpback whales had been sighted on the other side of the Moray Firth and seeing as the weather was so nice we drove first to Burghead and then onto Hopeman. It was lovely , warm and sunny. We looked out from the harbour and could see the whales some distance away. One of the local wildlife boats came out from it's Winter rest and was getting some great views. Sensibly keeping it's distance with the whales going over to say hello. Lots of gannets diving, raft of Eider duck and cormorants.
Feeling hungry we found the Cafe/takeaway was open so I had fish and chips. We drove down to Lossiemouth to eat them watching the sun go down. A walk on the beach in golden light and then home before dark, just :)
We also saw some tiny lambs, wrapped in orange , waterproof coats.
