Flower Friday:Sunflower

I wanted to blip one of our sunflowers before it's too late. 
We have never grown them before. 
Most are behind the fence in the vege garden but we put 3 outside to see if anything was going to eat them. 
This is one of those :-)
They are dwarf sunflowers so less then a metre high but there's nothing little about the flowers.

It's been a very hot day. 39C in the valley and 35C in Blackheath. 
Julia is staying at the farm with friends for the weekend so I hope it cools down a bit. 
If not, it will be good practice for them as they (the friends) are about to go to Darwin for a year and it's always hot there!
