Cobblers, a la Nogbad

On Saturday Nogbad resorted to posting an indoor blip of Kedgeree owing to the inclement weather outside. He promised an outisde blip on Sunday if the weather was better. It wasn't, in fact it was worse yesterday, the worst sort of bleak January day as you could imagine. A uniformly grey day with a soaking drizzle steadily drfiting down. Looking at his blip from yesterday Cabin Fever is setting in.

It was a day of indoor things, a considerable amount was accomplished. Not least the posting of a Blipmeet proposal on the Activities Page enquiring if people would like to gather together in the Lake District some time and at some location during the week 25th February to 2nd March which is when we're next up there staying in Bowness. This is the first time I've made such a proposal and will, all being well, the first offical blip meet I've attended, although I have put my name down for the Blipmeet in London at Tate Britain on 10th March.

Another achievement was to go through the seed box, rooting out all the old seeds, then deciding what we needed for the allotment this year, then ordering seeds on line. A good job done.

Despite the gloominess of the weather we did go out for a walk in the late afternoon, the motivation being to visit the allotment to dig carrots and parsnips for the above mentioned cobbler. It's a vegetarian cobbler with swede, squah, carrots, parsnips, borlotti beans and onion in a tomato and paprika sauce. Needed far more liquid than the recipe called for but was generally well received, the cobber, containing cheese and rosemary was very good.
