This morning the sun appeared as we walked several miles of the West Highland Way through woodland on the east side of Loch Lomond.  This little beach is slightly off the path but for years we used to walk through the woods or paddle our canoe up to here and swim in the loch.  It was a great place and we would jump off the rocks into the deep water and just beyond the point it was as good as any swimming pool with shallower parts between rocks suitable for our children.   Then we would sometimes make a fire on the beach and have a barbeque before returning to the car.   Now I live too far away and I think few people discover it as it’s down a steep winding narrow path off the well made path used by thousands each year as they walk almost a 100 miles from north of Glasgow to Fort William.
