Sunday evening drive

Yesterday we went away for the night to see friends that we met several years ago when on holiday in Crete We had a delicious Thai dinner  and today went to a pub restaurant for a traditional Sunday roast before setting out for home.
The M25 going, was remarkably empty: this was not the case this evening, when at least one 'incident' left us in stationary traffic for quite a while. We were only delayed by about 20 minutes in the end, so not too bad  for this infamous motorway.
We arrived home to find that Violet was poorly and would be spending tonight and tomorrow with us as nursery was out of the question. This little girl has more than her fair share of sore throats, coughs and colds!
