I couldn't resist this. It's the wall - and a bit of floor - in the Ladies loo in the Scottish Gallery of Modern Art in Edinburgh. We walked there this morning to see the Joan Eardley exhibition (I especially love her Glasgow urchins) which I could admire but not photograph. The loo, on the other hand...

Actually I felt I could have been taken on as a commentator- I found myself sharing the story of my tonsillectomy just a few feet from a kitchen range as painted often by Eardley. "You must write this down!" a woman enthused.
