A moment of calm

A return visit to the Scottish National Portrait Gallery today, to see an exhibition of modern portraits - some of famous people, some of the artists' children, one of the artist's father who was simultaneously making a sculpture of the painter. Some remarkable painting skill to delight on a chilly day.
