YES! We March, All Over the World

People around the world were marching today, and you can see photos from many of those marches on this New York Times link -- absolutely amazing!!!

I was one of some 5,000 participants today at the Womxn's March on Bellingham, which was one of nearly 20 marches in Washington state. It was impressive to see many men marching, and the many young people as well -- fired up and taking action after DJT's ascension to the presidency.

Women's rights are human rights, and there is a pressing need to join together to protect those rights from the new administration. Gatherings like this one gives me hope that our actions -- marching, contacting our elected officials, donating to nonprofits, and more -- will make a difference.

I've posted three extra photos: (1) a family that I saw toward the end of the parade route, and admired for their signs and the fact that these three young children are learning about peaceful citizen involvement and protest at an early age; (2) my (short person) view of City Hall, prior to the march; and (3) a much-desired goal!
