T'other way

Another one of those wonderfully inverted mornings!

At the last minute before the moors gate, I decided to try a different view of the fog in the valley and headed along to the farm before meandering uphill.  We were there just in time as a few moments later, the sun rose behind the clouds and didn't reappear until we were quite high on the moors.

Blue sky and still.

We stood enjoying the second sun reflecting in the reservoir, hoping that with a double dose, a January tan wasn't out of the question.  (My 15 SPF face cream might have just put pay to any hint of colour though!)

We had nearly four hours of gloriousness and made our way back in time for the murkiness to set in again. But not before we'd enjoyed the light shadows in the woods, the steam rising off the sheep and a foal asleep under some hay.
