Skating on thin ice

A very cold day for cycling to work. I was quite busy trying to put a report together for a meeting later in the week but still managed a quick walk round the lake. The lake was frozen and the students have obviously had fun chucking bottles and sticks onto the ice over the weekend to see how thick it is. This isn't a great photo but I spotted this brave squirrel investigating the ice on the far bank. It seemed to go out quite a way onto the ice. 

Left on time and went to another spin class with husband. Back for a quick shower and then out again to crochet club.
